The ‘Autonomous Republic of Crimea’ survived the secession of Ukraine from the Soviet Union (USSR) in 1990-91 and became a thorn in the side of the nationalist government in Kiev that oversaw the transition of Ukraine’s planned economy under Soviet rule to today’s disastrous capitalist economy.

At least 18 civilians have been killed and 13 more wounded as a result of a Ukrainian shelling of Donetsk on Sunday as Ukrainian armed forces shelled Donetsk region 43 times in the last 24 hours, firing 161 projectiles.
It is not clear why Russia doesn’t deliver very severe strike to major Ukrainian cities, in particular Kiev inflicting huge destruction on both civilian and military facilities including killing civilians running counter to the proclaimed credo of Denis Pushlin and Russian military leadership naively seeking to spare civilian sufferings targeting only military facilities and infrastructures. While Pushlin and Putin are still keeping some moral in the ongoing NATO’s proxy war in Ukraine, Kiev regime forces and its western backers do not worry about moral and civilian lives as they continue to kill Russians and Russian speaking civilians in the Donbass. Russia must apply the credo in the war matter, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth without burdening oneself with moral principles. Following each shelling, the Donbass civilians are scared and they are asking themselves why Russia and Putin didn’t intervene in Ukraine 10 years ago, to prevent the establishment and the strengthening of Kiev neo nazi regime using the technique of regime change implemented by the US and its European proxies when it comes to get rid of disobedient and recalcitrant leaders and regimes as they did in Libya and Syria. In retrospect, Russia should have intervened not only the prevent the setting up of neo nazi regime in Kiev ten years ago but also it should have done something to prevent the expansion of NATO’s member states passing from 16 in 2004 to 30 in 2022 and 32 today. President Putin was right when he predicted that foolish European bloc sanctions against Russia would return like a boomerang as the only victims are the ordinary people in particular the low income households unable to pay their bills to warm up and to cook. Russian retaliation to Belgorod attack
Belgorod’s terrorist attack killing 24 innocent civilians including 3 children is added to the long list of crimes committed by Kiev regime towards both its Russian speaking populations in the Donbass region and the Russian civilian populations. As it was expected, Russia would not let Belgorod terrorist unpunished as retaliatory response was not long in coming. Kiev’s terrorist attack in Belgorod is a sign of desperate regime incapable to challenge Russian armed on the battlefield, is ready to resort to any means at its disposal including terrorism and civilian mass killing and also to make believe to western sponsors that it is still fighting and will fight till the latest Ukrainian. But all these desperate attempts initiated by Kiev regime and its western sponsors would not change and would not reverse the balance of power on the battlefield as Russian armed forces engaged in the special military operation have been strengthened and adapted in way to fight not only Ukrainian armed forces at least what it’s left of it, but 50 countries. It will be expected that in the future, any Kiev attack on Russian territory will be met with harshest retaliatory measures.

Remarks on Reuniification Day
In this Reunification Day, some remarks are necessary. the integration of these 4 regions and Crimea into the Russian federation was the right decision to be made in these circumstances as the Donbass civilians were massacred by the Kiev regime since the coup of 2014 staged by neo nazi groups supported by the United States and the European Union with two main objectives : looting Ukraine natural and mineral wealth on the one hand and completing the encirclement of Russia by NATO. The launch in 2022 of the special military operation was undeniably the right decision take by Putin but it was too late. By not overthrowing Kiev regime in 2014, Putin gave enough time to Kiev and its masters in Washington to strengthen its army, building fortifications on the frontlines making major cities more resistant to Russian assaults, increasing by the way Russian victims. For not intervening in Ukraine to nip in the bud the new Kiev regime in 2014,Putin allowed the nazification of Ukrainian society,the increase and the spread of Russophobia among the Ukrainian populations mostly located in western Ukraine. last but not least, it seems that Putin, like before him Gorbatchev, was deceived by the West by accepting the Minsk agreements conceived according to Merkel and Hollande, as a mere deception aimed at giving Kiev regime to buy time in order to arm and to prepare the future war against Russia with the support of NATO. It is not clear why Putin didn’t overthrow Kiev regime in 2014 as the West has always done by fomenting colour revolutions and coups to get rid of recalcitrant and disobedient regimes.
This statement of French foreign minister Catherine Colonna asking for a security deal with Russia is ridiculous, biased and could be qualified as mere hype. Her statement seems to be nothing more than a piece of NATO’s propaganda disseminating all day long by the western mainstream media which are repeating the script written by Washington, making believe that Russia is the aggressor and the West the aggressed, the gentil pacifist west which is white as snow. she added, “Russia exists and will continue to exist.” It is worth commenting Colonna’s statement saying “Reality, history and geography mean that this country is largely on the European continent. We will have to find a way to rebuild a solid security architecture that takes into account the stability interests of all” First of all, if we respect the law of history and geography, western Europe should speak mostly Russian not English. If we respect the laws of history and geography, European citizens should visit before Russia located in European continent and not the united states; Instead of eating American junk food represented by multinationals by McDonald, Kentucky etc, European citizens should eat Russian gastronomy. Instead of listing to American music and subjugated by Hollowood movies, European citizens should listen to Russian music and watch Russian movies. if we respect the laws of geography, logically, European continent keeping area of only 7 million km² is expected to experience Russian impact keeping an area of 14,7 million km², that is twice the area of Europe. Now we should ask this question, why European continent was breaching the laws of history and geography ? The answer is not very difficult to guess, the emergence of US imperialism intrinsically and consubstantially linked to the history of this turbulent and aggressive state from its inception, originated by the Monroe doctrine of 1823 culminated by the Theodor Roosvelt wars of conquest in Latin America considered as its turf, Cuba, the Philippines, Costa Rica etc, the orderly control of European continent after two World wars and last but not least the crusade against communism declared by the Truman Doctrine in 1947
