War and Morality

At least 18 civilians have been killed and 13 more wounded as a result of a Ukrainian shelling of Donetsk on Sunday as Ukrainian armed forces shelled Donetsk region 43 times in the last 24 hours, firing 161 projectiles.

It is not clear why Russia doesn’t deliver very severe strike to major Ukrainian cities, in particular Kiev inflicting huge destruction on both civilian and military facilities including killing civilians running counter to the proclaimed credo of Denis Pushlin and Russian military leadership naively seeking to spare civilian sufferings targeting only military facilities and infrastructures. While Pushlin and Putin are still keeping some moral in the ongoing NATO’s proxy war in Ukraine, Kiev regime forces and its western backers do not worry about moral and civilian lives as they continue to kill Russians and Russian speaking civilians in the Donbass. Russia must apply the credo in the war matter, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth without burdening oneself with moral principles. Following each shelling, the Donbass civilians are scared and they are asking themselves why Russia and Putin didn’t intervene in Ukraine 10 years ago, to prevent the establishment and the strengthening of Kiev neo nazi regime using the technique of regime change implemented by the US and its European proxies when it comes to get rid of disobedient and recalcitrant leaders and regimes as they did in Libya and Syria. In retrospect, Russia should have intervened not only the prevent the setting up of neo nazi regime in Kiev ten years ago but also it should have done something to prevent the expansion of NATO’s member states passing from 16 in 2004 to 30 in 2022 and 32 today. Of course one may wonder why Russia didn’t actively to prevent NATO ‘s expansion since 2004, it will be allowable to think that (1) Russia in 2004 and on was too weak to confront the West following Yeltsin’s disaster decade selling the Russian huge wealth to western multinationals in cooperation with the Russian compradore class and reducing the then global power of the USSR to the rank of western colony, (2) that the Russian president who took over the power in December 1999 was worrying with the building up of the economy and the strengthening of Russian military thanks to the state control over the two main resources, the gas and the oil before confronting the West

Netanyhu’s « second war of independece » What is it ?

Which kind of “second war of independence” ? Israel was not a country occupied by foreign forces, it was artificially and illegally created by Britain promising through Balfour declaration homeland for the Jewish people living in European countries. But the question that begs, under what right allowing Britain to grant the Jewish a land else countries ? it is worth reminding in the same period Britian was promising a state for the Jewish in Palestine, it was refusing to the Irish their own state and their own republic by crushing the riots and confrontations lasting from 1916 to 1919. The easter rising led by revolutionary Connolly proclaiming the independence of Ireland was crushed by 160000 British soldiers. After France defeat in Sedan in 1870 and the loss of Alsace Lorraine to Germany, the rally cry of the French was the reintegration of occupied territories into French republic. Why denying to Palestinians the right to fight for their land? The main argument used by founders of Israeli state in 1948 supported by the West and even the Stalin’s USSR, the Shoah and the massacre of 6 million of jews by nazi regime during the WWII. One can retort the mass killing of jews occurred on the European continent, not in the Middle east, why Palestinians have to pay heavy price for crimes committed far away from their land by the Europeans ? If the west feels guilty about Jewish tragedy during the WWII, North America and European have a grand space, why France, UK, Germany, USA didn’t grant the jews a land inside their own territories in order to create their own state? Why precisely in Palestine after stealing Palestinian land ? Netanyahu’s “second war of independence” is humbug because the Irish who were fighting for their independence since 1916 were indigenous people established there since very longtime. Algerian war of independence is a real and genuine war of independence by expulsing the French colonizers after 132 years of colonization. What Netanyahu’s “second war of independence” is but a war to achieve and perform a Zionist ideology consisting of perpetuating the occupation of Palestinian land and driving its populations out of their remaining tiny territory

Israel’s pounding of Gaza, what does mean ?

“I just want to go back to the opportunity to orchestrate […] at least a new security architecture in the region… And this, I think, is the ultimate goal of this war. And we have to make sure that this opportunity that we got at such a high price – that we do not lose this opportunity, and, hopefully, we will not lose it, and make sure that we get the most out of this horrific and terrible attack of Hamas,” said Prof. Col. (ret.) Gabi Siboni. this warmonger pundit supporter of Netanyahu’s far right government is willing to reshape the map of the Middle East after exterminating, 2,1 million Gazans. This kind of allegations are uttered following each Israeli-Arab conflict since 1967. The Jewish state established on the Palestinian land with the complicity of Britain aimed at controlling the first oil field in Kirkuk(Iraq) is too weak to reshape the map of the Middle east and to wipe out of the map the Palestinian resistance. It is the weakness and the comatose state of Arab regimes that make believe Israel so powerful. Hamas’s attack shows that Israel like its masters in Washington and in Europe is a tiger with feet of clay according to Mao Tsé Tung. contrary to misleading appearances the Israeli onslaught in Gaza is not a show of strength as the mass killing in the Gaza Strip are not Hamas militants but defenceless Gazans. Israel like its master in The West appears to be powerful with the weak countries but weak with the countries well armed equipped with hypersonic missiles nuclear weapons like Russia, China, North Korea and Iran. Israel has no enough strength to reshape the map of the Middle East, Only generalized war in the region could set up political map similar to the WWI reshaping the map of Europe and the Middle east after the collapse of the three old Empires: Ottoman, Russian and Austria Hungary followed by the demise of the Jewish state in Palestine.

On the Right to resist

Palestinians expulsed from their homes and lands following the creation of Israël in 1948 have not only the right but also the duty to resist and to organize self defense against illegal order and alien forces. The right to resist and self-defense is subject to the rules of international humanitarian law, including the respect of the principle of distinction between civilians and combatants. But, right to resist, including armed resistance: Yes. Right to indiscriminately kill or target civilians: No. It’s as simple and unambiguous as that. Hamas’s attack can be qualified as act of resistance and self defense and not terrorist action contrary to the hype and manipulation of the western mainstream media. Bombing, killing civilian Gazans, destroying civilian infrastructure, depriving them from food, water, electricity, hospitals, this is not self defense nor fighting Hamas combatants, this is a mere terrorism, genocide, war crime and crimes against humanity. Israel war crimes in Gaza is similar to all war crimes committed by the US in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Vietnam war by using Orange and other weapons of mass destruction, during the Gulf war by using depleted Uranium, in Yugoslavia, Iraq 2003, Libya and Syria in 2011. Hamas is one of Palestinian resistance movement but it is not alone, there are many movements of resistance before the creation of Hamas including the PLO. It is worth nothing Hamas was created and funded by the Mossad Netanyahu’s government in order to divide the Palestinian movements of resistance mainly against Arafat’s leadership. One can compare Hamas’s creation by the Mossad and Israeli government to the creation of Muslim brotherhood in Egypt in 1928 by Hassan El Bana supported by then guardian power, the British government, to the Afghan’s Mujahidin and Ben Laden, by the CIA and the support of Saudi and Pakistan’s Intelligence services to fight the USSR, myriad of jihadists mercenaries that destroyed Libya and murdered Kadaffi, ISIS in Syria eliminated by Russia and in Iraq, in the Sahel region where these jihadists used the US and France to destabilize Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger

Ukraine’s proxy war : Origins and development of imperialist war explained by Historian Annie Lacroix Riz

On February 24,2022, Russia launched special military operation aimed at De-militarization and De-nazification of Ukraine. Russia blames the West for provoking a coup d’etat in 2014 which has overthrown democratically elected president Yanukovitch by color revolution led by nazi militants. The new regime has been installed thanks to the support of the USA, namely by Victoria Nuland and the European Union. Considering the new regime set up in Kiev as a western puppet, the Russian speaking populations in Donbass snubbed the new authorities and decided to take in hand their destiny by setting up independent administrations. It was the beginning of civil war that lasted eight years killing 15000 civilians.

The question that begs : why Ukraine? What are its core causes ? The answer is giving by leading French historian Annie Lacroix Riz explaining the origins and development of the ongoing conflict between Russia and the West.

THE ROOTS OF UKRAINE’S WAR

Like in all previous wars waged by the United States, its proxy allies and NATO, since the collapse of the USSR, it is the same strategy of deception implemented, aiming à brainwashing the masses in the West, making believe that their deadly and bloody wars of agression against targeted nations have only double objective :getting rid of vilain dictators who were massacring and killing their people, and making the world safe for democracy.

The current war in Ukraine provoked by NATO expansionism since the collapse of the Soviet Union on one hand and Maidan neo nazi coup in 2014 toppling democratically elected president who refused to bind to drastic conditions imposed by the USA,European Union and International Monetary Fund. The main architect of Maidan neo nazi coup was Victoria Nuland, wife of the neoconservative Paul Kagan. The Maidan coup was openly supported and financed by NATO as a way of undermining any Russian influence in Moscow’s own strategic environment. The aim was to make Ukraine a puppet state, commanded from Washington, ending any link with Russia. There was not only the objective to annihilate political, economic, and diplomatic relations between Kiev and Moscow, but also to eliminate cultural, ethnic, religious, and linguistic ties between both nations.

In the wake of Maidan coup d’etat, an anti-Russian junta took power and institutionalized a racist and anti-Russian ideology.Kiev’s coup in 2014 is but a contemporary copy of Hitler’s Berlin, but that the neo-Nazi element is a fundamental point of post-2014 Ukraine.

Following Maidan’s coup, neo nazi militias became  key points in the defense of the new Ukrainian regime. Groups such as the Azov Battalion, C14 and the armed militias of rightist parties such as Pravyy sektor and Svoboda operate freely in Ukraine and are most responsible for the extermination of ethnic Russians in the Donbass. The exaltation of Stepan Bandera (Ukrainian anti-Soviet nationalist leader who collaborated with Nazi Germany) is one of the symptoms of this. Before the Maidan, Bandera was a name like any other in Ukrainian history, but he came to be remembered and venerated as a national hero by neo-Nazis and anti-Russian politicians. These groups act with more violence and using more sophisticated equipment than the Ukrainian armed forces themselves, being the real face of Kiev’s anti-Russian brutality. As neo-Nazis, these militias have no obstacles in complying with the government’s objective of destroying any ties between Russians and Ukrainians.

The inspiration for Maidan neo nazi militias comes from the original Nazism: the Schutzstaffel (SS), one of the largest German armed political forces during the 1930s and 1940s, but the group was not part of the German Armed Forces, but a paramilitary militia instrumentalized by the government apart from the official troops. There was a major strategic objective with this: while the German military was commanded by the government, the SS fought for the Nazi Party and for Hitler – that is, if Germany surrendered, the SS would declare war on the German military. This type of “double-shielded” military system is the same one that Kiev has implemented: one can observe the same phenomenon in current war in Ukraine where neo nazi militias continue fighting the Russian forces in Kiev, in Dombass, in Mariopul and other regions albeit the entire destruction of Ukraine’s air forces.

Putin’s war over Ukraine is not war of agression like all NATO’s since 1991 mais it is the right response to denazify a neighbour country and to replace it a friendly regime. It is a measure that should be taken in coalition by several countries. In the West, Nazism has been rehabilitated and nazi groups and parties are encouraged as a mean to stand in the way of genuine left wing parties like in France with Le Pen. Russia is simply no longer willing to put up with crimes being committed by neo-Nazis against its people and there is nothing wrong with that decision

US LONG HISTORY OF PLOTS AND CONSPIRATIONNISM

Colin Powell, former US Secretary of State, who has died at the age of 84, became the laughingstock of anti-war organizations by holding a vial of anthrax-like powder, telling the world on February 5,2003 at the United Nations that Saddam might have tens of thousands of liters of anthrax, showing how Iraqi jets could spray that anthrax and how mobile laboratories are being used to concoct new weapons. But Colin Power illustrates also the case of Machiavellian and cynical imperialism which not hesitate to use all kinds of stratagems to achieve its goals. Iraq like all rich-oil regions of the Middle East with their untapped and huge rerserve, was coveted by the USA and its European satellites.

Early US overseas expansionism under the guise of the Monroe Doctrine (1823)

Since its inception, the United States of America has resorted to conspirationnism as means of colonialism and imperialism. To carve out spheres of influence in Latin America, the Monroe Doctrine was first conspiratorial doctrine introduced in 1823 by President James Monroe in his annual message to Congress, becaming the United States’ primary foreign policy document, declaring the Western Hemisphere closed from European colonization or intervention. Any breach of the Monroe Doctrine would be a threat to the United States. The Monroe Doctrine deeply effected Latin American countries especially in Cuba, Mexico, Gran Colombia, and the Falkland Islands.

US plots under the guise of humanitarian imperialism and Manifest Destiny

To overcome and recover from the depression of the 1890s, manufacturers, industrials, farmers, merchants and most other entrepreneurial sections supported by political establishment conservatives, liberals and Democrats agreed on overseas expansionism and conquest of foreign markets. To justify US imperialism, annexation and invasions, was invented the ideology of “Manifest destiny” which became the catchword of the republican platform of 1892, used by the expansionists in 1893 to annex Hawaii. In 1893 was signed a treaty annexing the Hawaiian Islands, 2000 miles miles removed from the American continent. President Grover Cleveland is considered as the promotor of the “Manifest Destiny” Doctrine as he deployed ships of the United States Navy to defeat the Brazilian Revolution of 1893 in a way that helped defeat the rebels who were opposed to unequal economic relations with America.

President Grover Cleveland promotor of US overseas expansionism

In 1893, the United States plotted against Hawaii’s Anglophile Queen Lliliuokalani accused of anti-foreign tendencies and turning the country toward Great Britain when American Minister to Hawaii, John L. Stevens permitted the landing of American marines in support for rebels. Later the allegation that Hawaii was in danger of falling under foreign control, there was adduced no substantial evidence of acquisitive designs by Great Britain or any other power. The treaty of annexation was negotiated in 1897 after Republicans being returned to power by McKinley’s victory in 1896.

In Philippines, the United States lured the insurgent leader Aguinaldo when Americans had promised him support for Philippine Independence as a reward for his solicited military assistance; After Aguinaldo had effectively rendered his assistance he was duped and disillusioned as his promised new republic and all his political pretensions ignored. Aguinaldo protested bitterly against the forcible annexation which now seemed to him designed by the “cold and calculating thoughts of the sons of the North”. He was captured by the Americans led by Brig. Gen. Frederick Funston on March 23, 1901 in remote Palanan, Isabela Province. On April 1, 1901, he pledged allegiance to the United States.

WILL INDIA FIGHT A TWO-FRONT WAR WITH CHINA AND PAKISTAN ?

WILL INDIA FIGHT A TWO-FRONT WAR WITH CHINA AND PAKISTAN ?

Like China’s Popular of Liberation Army that recently conducted military exercises simultaneously in four seas in preparation for a multi-front war, India military prepares for a possibility to fight a two-front war against collusive military and nuclear allies Pakistan and China. The latest fracas taking place on the night of August 29-30 between China’s People’s Liberation Army and Indian Army along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh along the southern bank of the Pangong Tso lake, has further exacerbated the military standoff continuing since early May and raising the spectre of military confrontation between the most two populous nations.

The key area and the hardest point of friction remains Pangong Lake and Depsang, particularly the Finger Area — a set of eight cliffs jutting out of Sirijap range overlooking Pangong where both armies have deployed almost 100,000 soldiers and weaponry in their forward and depth areas. the quantum of forces currently deployed by both sides of the LAC was also unprecedented. In a sign of dissuasion, Indian army has deployed three additional Indian Army divisions of around 60,000-70,000 personnel to supplement some 20,000 troops from the Leh-based 3 Division tasked with minding the LAC in eastern Ladakh against the PLA. These formations are backed by over 120-odd T72M1 and T90S main battle tanks positioned at various sensitive locations in eastern Ladakh, which in turn are augmented by the newly inducted BAE Systems M777 155mm light weight howitzers, varied missile batteries and associated systems. All these platforms have furthermore been airlifted to the region by the Indian Air Force’s (IAF’s) latest CH-47F Chinook heavy lift helicopters and C-17 and C-130J-30 fixed wing transport aircraft. These extra troops had escalated the situation ominously along the LAC as the corresponding PLA ‘forces-in being’ too are amply supported by formidable armour, artillery and missile assets.

In recent years, Pakistan’s and China’s strategic and territorial interests with regard to India had coalesced, hinting that he anticipated increased military collaboration between the two against Delhi, especially with regard to the strategic Siachen Glacier. Pakistan as a whole, its military, polity and people have longtime suspected India working to break their country into pieces. Consequently, in case of war between India and China, Pakistan will not hesitate to side with China and could swing into action to take advantage of India’s preoccupation with China.

The opening up of a second live conflict front for India, in addition to the one prevailing with Pakistan along the restive Line of Control or LOC in Kashmir, further reinforces the operationally apocalyptic ‘two-front’ war scenario for India. Despite all three countries possessing nuclear arms, conventional war would not be excluded along India’s northern and western borders with China and Pakistan.

Syria : civil war or imperialist proxy war ?

Syria : civil war or imperialist proxy war ?

Western propaganda and its mainstream and corporate media try to depict the current war waged in Syria as a mere domestic civil war opposing the very” democratic forces”, the “kindly” and “moderate rebels” fighting for the “right cause” viewed through the western lens, that is, democracy, human rights, rule of law and multipartism against a horrific, thirsty blood dictatorship, that of Bachar Al Assad.

In order to better understand the nature of the ongoing Syrian war, we must beforehand reject all these false narratives and ideas and bias extensively spreading and disseminating through the mainstream media, academic circles and the so-called military and civil experts. We have to concentrate first and before all on the origin of all these political, ethnic, religious, sectarian and ideological convulsions that took place in the Middle East over the last 50 years. We have to go back to the history of this region more precisely to the First World War and to its aftermath and treaties of Versailles of 1919 when the two major imperialist powers at the time, France and Great Britain decided, according to Sykes-Picot Accords and Balfour Declaration, to divide among them the area into two spheres of influence and to redraw the map of the Middle East following the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. When, at the end of the Second World War, the two old imperialist powers have been collapsed, they had been, at their turn, evinced and replaced in the area by a young and newcomer the United States of America. So, a century later, one can witness the same permanence of imperialism continuing to rule the region and contributing to exacerbate ethnic and religious conflicts in order to feed and fuel endless and bloody wars according to its own agenda. Once keeping this truth in mind, needless to say that, behind each conflict waged in the Middle East, over the past 50 years, there is this constant and perpetual hidden hand of western imperialism supported by proxy regimes in the Middle East. Nothing being new under the Sun, The ongoing Syrian must not be an exception to the rule in comparison with all wars that had been taking place in the Middle east over the past 50 years and more recently, those of Iraq and Libya.

Through their strategy of deception and manipulation, the western propaganda would like to make believe that the ongoing war in Syria is a civil war opposing domestic parties and local groups to the Syrian regime. One can remember that the term “moderate” rebels has been coined by the strategists of the Psy op waged nowadays against Assad and his regime. this strategy of deception aims to deceive and to make believe that there are “kind and very nice” rebels and “respectable” political forces struggling against a “nasty” and “evil” regime. By close and careful examination of the so called “moderate” rebels, we quickly arrive to another established fact that the Assad regime have to face not a civil war but a foreign infestation leading by a jihadist-led insurgency, unleashed in the Syrian territory since 2011 by Washington and its clients and satellites in Europe and in the Middle East with the main objective, overthrowing the legitimate regime and replacing it by an islamist regime pro-US.

These jihadist-led-insurgency, Washington call them “our guys” as it was the case with the Afghan mujahedeen branded by Ronald Reagan as “freedom fighters” and the French foreign minister vaunted them as guys “ making a good job”, in Syria. This appeal to jihadists groups is not a new strategy deployed by US imperialism to be in its military and gepopolical agendas since the creation in the late 1970 of the Afghan Mudjahedeen, a CIA offshoot–organized-armed Islamic jihadists when the US imperialism was leading a Crusade war against the communism and was fighting a secular pro-Soviet government in Afghanistan.

Now, in the ongoing Syrian war, like in Libya in 2011, we are witnessing the same strategy whose the main objective is to enlist jihadist groups being used as a military tools and geopolitical device to be in US led imperialism’s service. The Sunni jihadists deemed “moderate” by the West are in fact a patchwork of foreign mercenary jihadists, recruited from about one hundred countries around the world, such jihadists having been created from nothing by western governments and their Intelligence services committed to organize, fund, train and supply them by the last US and western manufactured and sophisticated weaponry, especially the TOW missiles supplied (anti-tank missile). Once recruited, armed and trained, these foreign mercenary groups are transiting by Turkish border to Syrian territory. According to a Munich based journalist interviewed by the BBC world on Wednesday 2 December, 70% of the fighters in Raqaa are foreign.

In Syria, Al Nusra Front, Syria’s Al Qaeda affiliate, is allied with other jihadists including Ahrar al-Sham(apparently separated from Al-Qaeda although its senior leaders were drawn from Al Qaeda) and Jaish al-islam. Both militias are composed of Salafists militants, seeking the establishment of Caliphate in Syria. Both militias collaborate closely with Al Nusra and they are fighting side by side in the Saudi-backed Army of Conquest.  The Jihadists of Al Nusra and its allies are waging a sectarian war not only against the government but also against other components of the Syrian society, Shia, Alawites, Jews and Christians.  Ahrar al-Sham,  a jihadist group founded by Al Quaeda veteran and fighting alongside Al Qaeda’s Nusra Front.he “moderate” groups unleashed in Syria for regime change had been supplied with sophisticated weapons including TOW anti-tank missile.

For a mere political cosmetic purpose and in order to hide the infestation of Syrian soil by foreign jihadists and to confer a “syrian” veneer to their proxy mercenary, US imperialism and its satellites in Europe(France, Great Britain) and in the Middle east (Saudi Arabia, Qatar and turkey) are forced to enlist aging Syrian exiles among the Syrian Diaspora living in the West. Albeit this political cosmetic, the current rivalry and ongoing infighting between the “opponents” to Assad regime (groups backed by Washington fighting against groups backed by Turkey and Saudi Arabia) demonstrates once again that the so called civil war in Syria is a myth, that its background are neither ethnic nor religious but a foreign plot fomented by the western imperialism and its regional proxy regimes in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, all of them converging in the same geopolitical agendas and pointing to the same direction, albeit their interne rivalry and their proper agendas, the ouster of the democratically elected president Bachar Al Assad and imposition in Damascus of a slavish US puppet government as it was the case more than decade ago in Iraq and four years ago in Libya after the western powers, and their regional proxy regimes helped and supported by and their jihadists mercenary had been toppling and murdering the Libyan leader, Muammar al Kadaffi, and destroying a prosper and wealthy North African country
